I am glad this week is over...

and I hope next week is better. I am not here to complain just to say last week was rough and I am glad to start fresh tomorrow. Ayda was sick all of last week, fever on and off, a cough, throwing up, not eating and no SLEEP at all! I finally broke down and called the advice nurse and she said it sounds like what is going around but if her fever wasn't gone by Thursday to bring her in. Of course, she wasn't fevered on Thursday which is good because I had other issues that day. I started a load of laundry, you know washing the sheets to get the germs out. I went downstairs and it was like a waterfall coming out of one of my kitchen lights. I ran to try and clean it up and realized I needed to stop the washer. I ran upstairs stopped the washing machine, grabbed some towels and went downstairs to clean up the mess...and what did I find another light pouring out water. I threw the towels down and ran back upstairs to get more, ran down the stairs (keep in mind I am seven months pregnant and I am not up for running much of anywhere) and what did I find more water coming out of more lights. By this time I had every towel in the house, I was grabbing bowls and asking Ayda to help. I felt so overwhelmed and I called my mom, who was coming out to visit her sick Ayda. She answered, I cried, she brought lots of towels and a couple things I had asked her to pick up for Ayda. We got the mess all cleaned up and then I called someone to fix my washer. Needless to say it was a long and exhausting day. I am so thankful my mom is so close, she took home ALL of my wet towels and washed them and even left some dry towels so we could showered and not have to drip dry. Friday, a washer repair man was coming, he spent time looking at the problem. Left, came back with a part....it was the wrong part. He should be back on Monday. Thanks again, we went to my mom's to do laundry. Friday night Travis and I went grocery shopping (yep, that is what we do on Friday night) and Ayda started to act funny. She said she was really cold so we wrapped her in Travis' coat and by the time we got home she had a fever again. By 11pm her temp was a little over 102 and I was panicked. The advice nurse said to bring her in to the after hours clinic in the morning. Of course, she had no fever on Saturday but we took her anyway. The doctor was really nice and Ayda was so good. We found out that she has pneumonia in one of her lungs...yep. Maybe I should have taken her in on Thursday, it made me feel like a bad mom. But she is on the antibiotics now and we hope things get back to normal. And by normal I mean a little sleep and having my own washer again. This picture wasn't taken during the event but it pretty much says how I was feeling!

oh my dear sweet friend.. I don't like last week either. It was mean to you.

Glad Ayda is doing better. I wouldn't have taken her in either... it's so hard to know what is going on with them. Finlee fevered a few random days, a couple weeks ago and who knows why!

I love EZD. Always to the rescue, whether it be a very needed Subway or towels galore! She is top quality!

I am so sorry. Wow! Next time you have a problem like that, don't call a repair man call my husband. He does that for a living and would totally fix it for you for free. Please! Hopefully little Ayda will get better soon!

Oh my gosh!! You need a vacation after a week like that! I can't believe poor Ayda. Parenthood needs an instruction manual. How are we supposed to when they are getting better?!
Sorry about the washer. I can't believe you went somewhere else to do it. I would have taken a laundry vacation :)
I love you, I'm sorry you had such a horrible week.

Hey your episodes this last week with the washer and Ayda sound pretty much what we experienced a few weeks ago. Sick kids- after hour doctor visits- and MY washer leaking water all over the downstairs kitchen tile thru the lighting! The water leak from the washer has happened a couple of times, everytime I misjudge the size of the load and fill the washer too much. I bet you have recessed lighting right??? Darn lighting; it looks so great but water leaks like to find their way thru them. That's where are leaks are coming thru- everytime it happens I wait for a light show- one of these days something electrical is bound to get wet and explode. THE DANGERS OF DOING LAUNDREY!!! BE CAREFUL! I bet your Maytag washer manual doesn't warn you about leaks thru the lighting right?! Anyhow- I'm sorry to hear your daughter has pneumonia- lucky you guys got it treated at the time you did. I can understand the troubles you went thru this last week and I'm REALLY hoping this week, along with the last two months of your pregnancy go "easy peezy"! You deserve it!

Oh man! What a week. I hope everything gets back to normal quick! Wish I could have helped—good thing your mom is there to help.
Give my little Ayda a get-better kiss. :) Love you!

Sounds like a rough week for sure! You are just super lucky to have your mom close by! Cole was so so sick last week and the week before. We thought he had pneumonia and had to take him in for x-rays but he didn't. Winter is the worst...
Hope Ayda is doing better and her pneumonia goes away soon! Good Luck!

First off...I love that picture! Totally fits the week you had. I can't even imagine how Aya feels having pneumonia! I had that when I was 16 and I had never felt so sick in my life...poor girl. Hope this week is better for all of you!

When you have a child with a broken arm and tell them "you're fine, go lay down" and then find out the arm was broken you can feel like a bad mom....plus that child will never let you live it down. I love my little Adya bug.
