Road trip...

We made it! We left Utah at 5am and we pulled into my mom's house a little before 4pm. We made one stop in Idaho and Ayda did surprisingly well. She didn't claim to be "guck" (stuck) once. She did however enlist my mom as her serving girl, my mom had to scratch her itches and wipe her runny nose and change her DVD player to a movie of her choice. We are now just trying to get settled and Travis is getting ready to start work on Thursday. We are still hoping to sell our house, but until then my mom is gracious enough to let us stay with her, that is Ayda's favorite thing. Here are some pics from our drive.

Bye Linds & Jason

Tonight, Lindsey, Jason and Finlee came down for a farewell dinner. It was so nice to spend time with them. We have been so spoiled being with them so much and we will really really miss them. But, Jas and Travis have a plan to meet in Boise (the half way mark) to eat at a certain unnamed resturant. Thanks Holmes family for spending time with us tonight and thanks for Ayda's nice new ride!! We love you... A LOT!!!

Fox 13 Family!

Today was my last day at Fox 13, I have been there for more than three years. It was hard to say good-bye to some great friends. But, I am looking forward to the next chapter in my life. I cried and laughed a lot and tonight I am exhausted. Here are some pictures of my great co-workers, that sometimes felt more like family than work friends.

Happy Birthday Ayda!

If you ask Ayda how old she is, most of the time she says, "two" but Travis' mom asked her and she said, "nine." We are having a party when we go to Oregon so it was a low profile day, we went to dinner with my Grandparents and Ayda got some cute new clothes from Gaco. Grandma and Grandpa Ecker bought her a little stick horse. One other thing that happened that day, I was taking a picture of Ayda and Gaco and I said, "say cheese" my mom said "say freeze" and Ayda turned around and said, "No cheese."

Thanks Everyone!

So, this isn't so much one of Ayda's adventures but I wanted to post it anyway...Saturday night we had a little get together at Amy and Mitch's house...it gave us a chance to say good-bye to some great friends. Thanks again guys, it was lots of fun!! We will miss you!

A quick trip to Idaho

Travis and Ayda ran up to Idaho on Friday while I was at work. He wanted to tell his Grandma and Grandpa Gower and Grandpa Marley good-bye before we move to Oregon.

Laundry day...

I know I am not the first mom to discover that a 2 year old is not very helpful with laundry. Ayda's job is to put away Travis' socks, she can do that without any help. Today she was taking his shirts and I told her to put them in the office (that is where his closet is) and put them on the chair. The next thing I know she is wearing the laundry basket and all of Travis' shirts are stuffed in her top drawer...thanks for the help Ayda.

Good-bye mountains!

To some this is old news but for some it may come as a surprise, Travis and I are moving (we are taking Ayda along too). Travis got a new job in Oregon and we are packing up and moving out! We only have a couple of weeks left in Utah. We will keep our same cell phones and I will update the blog often. We are sad to say goodbye to some really great friends and plan to visit, so don't worry you can't get rid of us that easily. Please keep in touch and if you know anyone who wants a really cute townhouse let me know!!

A bad day....

We had a play date with Carson all set up, but that morning Ayda had a rough start and the day didn't get better. Ayda fell off the table that is when I snapped this picture. Then, while we were at the park Ayda practiced her somersaulting off a slide, scraping up her face. Even later at the park Carson accidentally bonked heads with Ayda, she came home from the park like she had been to war.

Wagon rides...

It was a beautiful day so off we went for a wagon ride (well Ayda rode--we walked). Ayda always gets comfy during our walks! We are welcoming spring with open arms!

Dinner with Friends...

Jas and Lindsey went to dinner with Travis and I. We always have such a good time together, Ayda and Finlee are always so cute together. Finlee is getting so big, I can't believe how much she is changing. When I was partaking of some yummy jolly rancher green apple icee Finny tried to partake. It was a struggle and needless to say...she won. Thanks for the fun times!!

Temple Square

We spent some time at Temple Square today. We are lucky we didn't get kicked out, Ayda kept trying to swim in the reflecting pond.

My Filipino Family!

With this weekend being LDS General Conference some of the Filipinos I taught when I was a missionary were in town from San Diego. It is hard for me to describe the love I have for these great people. I have been home from my mission for almost 5 years, and still when I see them I just feel of their love for me. I have so much respect for them and for the amount of time they spent helping me (and many others) and loving me while I was serving a mission. They truly are my Filipino family. It was great to be with them again, to catch up, and for them to see how big Ayda is getting. Before Lindsey and I went to catch up with our friends Ayda helped give Finny a quick snack.
