"big stretch"

Every night Travis stretches, now, Ayda stretches too. She isn't copying him exactly, I promise he never looks like she does. It is cute all the same. (and if you look close, she has on pink skull and crossbone jammies!)

Spinning Ayda

My mom has wood floors in her house, Ayda has taken to sliding everywhere, like a snake. Tonight, I gave her a spin and man she could really get going. Then Travis joined in the fun, there were two little videos that turned out so cute, it was hard to pick the one to post. Enjoy!

Multnomah Falls

With gas prices near 4 dollars a gallon we decided to do something close to home for the holiday weekend. We went to Multnomah Falls, which is about 30 miles from Portland. It was a beautiful day to hike, even though it was forecasted to rain, the only water we felt was from the falls. Ayda seemed to like the constant mist and all the water. It was a fun quick trip. Enjoy the pictures. (yes, Ayda is wearing a curious george shirt...my mom bought it for her and she wants to wear it everyday...)

Oregon Zoo

Auntie Endre gave Ayda a zoo membership so off we went to explore a new zoo. Ayda had a good time, I think her favorite part was the train ride.

Help us find a cure for CF!

This past Saturday we participated in the annual Great Strides walk for Cystic Fibrosis. My 7 year old niece Arden was diagnosed with CF when she was a couple months old. Unfortunately, at this time, there is not a cure for CF. That is why we walk, we walk to raise money for research, with hopes that one day CF can be cured. Until then it is up to us. If you want to donate in Arden's name go to the donation site, help us find a cure!

Dancing Queen!

Ayda doesn't require a lot of music to dance even cell phone ring tones will work for her.

Water anyone?

Ayda in my mom's backyard helping herself to a drink of water.

Lunch with an old friend

Well, she isn't old but we have been friends for a long time. I met Maryann when I moved to Salem, we were neighbors. We have been friends since the 7th grade, we are now both married and each have one baby. Her little boy Colton is just 9 weeks old and is so cute. As I drove through Salem yesterday it was kind of like driving back in time. I haven't been there in several years. It was nice to catch up with Mar and we look forward to living in same state again!

Happy Mother's Day

I have the best mom in the world! I hope to be half as good as she is one day. I love being a mom. Here is our Mother's Day picture.

Yep...she is famous!

I can now confirm Ayda is in this months issue of the Ensign (an LDS church magazine). She is on page 78 playing in the reflecting pond at Temple Square (in SLC). I guess we should find her an agent :)

Toe Bam!

Ayda is so gross! She rarely wears socks but one day she had them on and when she took them off she noticed little fuzzies in between her toes. Someone taught her it was called "toe jam" so now she says, "Ayda's bam" and checks her toes every time her shoes come off. She also will check anyone else's feet that are within her reach. Her are some pictures of her conducting her routine "toe bam search."

nature walks

My mom and I were watching Beck and Hurley and we decided to take the kids to the park. We didn't get very far before the kids wanted to look at the water under the bridge, look at the birds, check out the flowers. The park is minutes from my mom's house but it took us about 25 to get there. Here are some nature pictures with the three cousins.

Birthday Party!

We told Ayda that when we got to Oregon we would do a little birthday party with her Oregon cousins, and that is what we did. Gaco made Ayda a monkey cake (because of her love for Curious George) and another sheet cake with her name on it. We had a BBQ, the weather was great, the kids had fun. It was a hit. Here are a couple pictures from the festivities.
