Adios...

I wasn't sure if I wanted this post to be titled "adios", but I went with it because in just 4 days Travis and I leave on our cruise to Mexico. We are going with our really good friends Lindsey and Jason (Linds and I were LDS mission companions for nine months--and yes we are still friends). We have been planning this cruise for what seems like an eternity and it is finally here. I can't wait!! So, I thought before I left I would post a couple new pictures of Ayda. Not much new is going on with us. We are ready for Halloween, Ayda is going to be Cinderella, I will post those pictures ...maybe after we get back.

Fall fun in Oregon

Okay, it is fall fun everywhere. Ayda went with Endre and Keely and their kids to a pumpkin patch. It was a chilly day and Endre was kind enough to loan Ayda a pair of rain boots because it is wet here in Oregon...The place is a lot more than just pumpkins, they have animals, hay to play in (Ayda wasn't that interested in being scratched by hay), train rides, boat rides, and pumpkins of course. Keely did a good job taking pictures of Ayda, she found this little pumpkin and I guess was so excited she didn't know what to do so she threw it?! Here are some pictures of the adventure.

I am the mother of a fish...

No, we didn't buy a fish... that is gross. But For the last several months Travis and I have been swimming laps at a pool in Hillsboro. When we finish our lap swim we take Ayda swimming. She has always loved the water but since we have been going almost everyday she has turned into a fish. She loves to go underwater and is really starting to swim. Her stroke needs a little work and I don't see her breaking any world records in the near future but she loves it. I need to get video of her swimming, I am not bragging but it is amazing. I have never seen a two year old who loves to be under the water. She also jumps in the water, generally before we are ready to catch her. Lately, she has been asking for goggles because she says her eyes hurt, I guess she doesn't keep them closed. So, we bought her some goggles, she even keeps them on! Here is a picture of her (staged--not at the pool) they aren't on exactly right but you get the idea.
