Is that your boyfriend?

Anyone who knows me well knows I have this little habit of asking people (mostly about random, funny-looking people walking down the street), "Is that your boyfriend?" While I worked at Fox, we would be getting different mugshots in for the newscast and we would ask, "Hey, isn't that your boyfriend?" A couple weeks ago a commercial came on for Weight Watchers and they had this little orange monster and I asked Ayda, "Is that your boyfriend?" She looked at me and said, "my boyfriend what are you talking about Mama?" Well the commercial came on last night and she started saying, "it's my boyfriend." Travis and I couldn't figure out what she was talking about then we remembered... so allow me to introduce you to Ayda's boyfriend, she sets her standards pretty low. :)

update...

Not a lot happening in our little world. Ayda is doing really well without her binky (it went a lot better than I would have guessed). We are just counting down days until baby comes, we are down to 3 months! Just one quick story(no pictures to go along with it--sorry) we were at Target and I was looking at cards and Ayda kept saying, "that man has really big hair." over and over. I finally looked up to see a man, with a huge mohawk. It truly was really big hair. The man was laughing and I felt dumb but, he couldn't fault her because she was accurate in her observation and description.

Binky Fairy

Ayda still uses a binky, or as she calls it, "her midgie". Travis and I were going to have the Binky Fairy come (she takes the binkies to all the new babies and leaves a present in its place) when she turned three but thinking about it, that will be just a couple weeks before baby comes and I didn't think that would be great timing. So, she came early Saturday morning. We had collected all her binky's and we tossed them, in the night I went into her room and took her last remaining binky. I stuck it in my nightstand drawer and thought I would toss it in the morning. She woke up and 4am (not uncommon) and wanted her binky, I told her the binky fairy came and when it was light outside she could see her presents. She was awake for two hours begging, pleading, singing about her binky. She finally fell back asleep. When she woke back up, walked over to my nightstand, opened it, pulled out the binky and said, "ta-da." I suck as the binky fairy. We distracted her by showing her the goodies left for her: a hula hoop, a princess ball, and some worm things that she can dive for in the pool. She was thrilled. Later in the morning she was frantically searching my drawer for her binky, we told her several times they were all gone. She actually did really well last night, better than I thought she would. She woke up a couple times and didn't ask for it. So, we will see if we can convince her she is a big girl, because as far as her binky is concerned she is perfectly content with being a baby! Here is an early morning picture of Ayda with her gifts!

Two peas in a pod

Don't you wish you had a Gaco to help you wear stickers on your eyes? Ayda loves her Gaco and would recommend everyone run out and find one!
