Merry Christmas

What a difference a year makes. It was so much fun to watch both the kids on Christmas morning. Last year Zander was so young but this year he caught on to the hang of things. Both the kids got spoiled and really enjoyed opening gifts. The kids woke up around 7:30...which is pretty late in our house.
Ayda got all things princess, and arts and crafts, a mini-trampoline and my mom got her a membership to Gymboree so she can take art classes. She always loves the small things (makes me wonder why we buy a "big gift" when she is so excited about a new lip gloss and a yo-yo). Zander got a bike and a barky little dog, he like to sit on (odd I know), he also got a vacuum (he is my child for sure!!) and he is going to take a gym class at Gymboree (a great place to climb and fall...it is all padded).
Travis got some much needed pj pants (you can see the GIANT hole in the knee of his old ones) and we got a Wii (fun for the whole family).
Through the month of December we read out of the Bible about the birth of Christ, Ayda really starting to remember the things we read. Each night she was so excited to read another scripture about our Savior.
All in all it was a great day. We had a Skype conversation with Travis' parents (and Jessica) in the morning. We had a WONDERFUL dinner at my mom's, the only person missing was Awny and her kids (but we did a Skype conversation with her...imagine all 11 kids and 7 adults crammed around my mom's computer).
We hope that you all had a good Christmas too and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

The kids look so sweet and I am really happy for Travis -- no more white knees sticking out of his pajama pants:)
