I was amazed at all the different people participating, young, old, skinny, fat, pregnant, blind (really I saw a blind man running). Running is a very solitary sport, no one is watching you, no one cares how you do, you just do it for yourself.
As for me, I felt good until mile 11 then I felt like my feet might fall off but I finished (and not last, which was my goal.) The only casualty was I lost an under wire in my sports bra, it started to come out so I yanked it out all the way. I felt a huge sense of accomplishment as I crossed the finish line. It was fun to see my kids and Travis yelling for me. Good job Mom and Endre!!! Here are some cell phone pics from along the way.

Nika -
So proud of you. I just did my first half in April, so I understand the mixed bag of emotions. Way to go.
And PS - maybe I've been under a rock... but underwire sports bras!? I never heard of such a thing!
WOW!!! You should be soooo proud of yourself. That is such an accomplishment. Good job girl:)

Woohoo! Way to go friend! Sarah's going to be so proud, being the little runner she is. What an accomplishment! Tim is actually signed up for the Top of Utah half in August. I have yet to do more than a 5K. :). I keep putting off the half though. All my neighbors are runners so I'm sure I will get sucked in one of these times. XOXOXO
